Once again, I am in awe of the perception of depth.  Is this one exposure, or are you stacking?  Well done.

Thanks. No, I've never had much luck with stacking. Maybe more not the patience -maybe I'll try again some time. With a bloom this size, it's pretty easy to get a clear shot with everything really steady. There is a little tweaking done in ps to let the colors and shadows come out, but, really I'm just getting the photo to more accurately portray the real thing. The light influences the end product immensely, and I try to use that.

Gail,

Thanks. Your photos are of a different nature than what I try to do. If you do want to obtain clarity with a bloom you almost have to bring it inside, use a tripod, remote shutter and long exposure with high f #  (25-32 depending on how close you are) and a good sharpening program.

Thanks to you both again for your time.
