patricia_eifel 0 Posted July 26, 2003 A simple scene, but I liked it. What do you think? As always, thanks for your comments. Link to comment
alina 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Simple but nice and well done. The toning add to the atmosphere too. Regards. Link to comment
joel_le_montagner 0 Posted July 26, 2003 I would cut the black door at rihgt, perhaps ? Link to comment
patricia_eifel 0 Posted July 27, 2003 Looks like more than the door is missing Carl... Sometimes it is hard to part with the original "straight" version but I agree that elimination of the less compelling participants simplifies the composition and is very effective. Thanks Carl. I think I will go back to the original and create a "Root" version. Link to comment
root 0 Posted July 27, 2003 Glad you like it. This isn't intended as a suggestion for a final print, but rather an idea for future shots. The idea here was to hopefully find one clear subject, or three related ones. If you only crop the dark door then you have two sets of three windows competing with each other. Reducing the number to five eliminates that problem. I could have left the foreground, which I like, but the uploaded crop restores the 3/2 ratio more or less. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 28, 2003 Carl's crop is easier on the eyes and on the mind. cool shot. Link to comment
douglas_howk 0 Posted July 28, 2003 Beautiful image in the rain. Slight tilt, though, is distracting. Link to comment
