Jamie

I checked the histogram, the highlights are not blown out, still reduced the average luminosity from 83 to 74 and uploaded the new image. Thanks a lot for helping me refine the image further.

I find the current version is the best. The saturation is quite high but I find it appropriate for the image. And the shallow depth of field helps focus the attention on the front flower. And the composition is just right IMO, close enough to make the front flower an interesting subject while showing enough background to give a feel of it's surroundings.

Much of this is based on personal tastes and i find I like the original and the darkest versions. I would like to make one suggestion however and that would be to shift the camera position so that the main flower (middle-left) does not merge with the one slightly to its right. If I was going to print, it would be the darkest version but with the main flower selectively lightened and on a glossy surface.  Other than that, it is really a beautiful image. All the very best,

Here is a digitally modified version - not better - just for discussion.

Choices I made were to ensure that the sharply focused flowers had minimal distractions in the background.

No, I didn't think you meant that highlights were blown, but I just wanted to be doubly sure myself.

I admire the effort you have put in and the effect it has produced.
