Venice is the kind of mesmerizing place you want to photograph everything

and capture so much in every photograph. I only occasionally surfaced

from my deep hypnosis to observe the little things and get up close and

personal. Inspired by the pylons that were everywhere along the canals,

this image represents one of the few times I consciously tried to layer the

near and far (and in between) into one composition. Comments and critique

are welcome.
