Thanks for viewing/comments! I've seen these people many places. In the

US, In places, and this one was taken in Ha-Noi, VN. It's heart breaking to

see poverty, albiet, American trash might be of better quality ? .. also, in a

third world country most of these folks does not have much choices.

The levels of poverty and the lengths people are forced to go to in order to survive. I remember on one ocassion in the UK, we hired a rubbish skip because we were moving house and needed to get rid of a lot of things in a great hurry, we filled the skip and left it outside the house, and to my utter amazement, the next morning it was almost empty! I guess one mans junk can be another mans prize possession, but there are so many different levels. I remember seeing video footage of a rubbish tip in India, and seemingly masses of young children sifting through the squalor to try and  find something of value, heart wrenching scenes that I suppose would make the guy on the cycle in your image seem positively wealthy by comparison.  Great thought provoking image!

Best Regards

Thanks Alf! Glad you stopped by and left your thought. I share the same thought about the fellow still have a bike and it does make him looks much wealthier than even some skid row resident in Los Angeles that I've seen. I like the image because of the lighting and he caught me off guard since there's a big crowded night market right down the street that contrasted greatly to this dimply lit corner.
