lex_jenkins 13 Posted July 24, 2003 Just wondering how this appears on others' monitors. I blew my system's calibration while trying to adjust my dual monitor mode settings and can't quite tell whether the gamma and overall tonality are right. Link to comment
dougs 0 Posted July 24, 2003 not having ever produced a good street photo, i am always impressed with another photographers capture. this photo could relay several different stories from fun (playing in the rain) to sad (no shelter from the elements). my only thought is i dont like the 1/3 person on the left, i want to see more of them, or less of them. nice job though... n_p 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Have the good(?) fortune to be able to work with four different monitors, between home and work. Apart from those, I also access photonet on a laptop with a standard TFT 15" display. Your image looks quite OK to me in the large view. Tonal range is very good from 0 to 255. Feel a bit awkward giving you this link, as you probably know more about the subject than I do. Anyway, just thought that I should put in my 2 cents worth... Link to comment
thomas_moraitis 0 Posted July 29, 2003 I like the photo and it appears fine on my screen. I'd just prefer less DOP. Link to comment
n_p 0 Posted August 2, 2003 Not sure that I am comfortable commenting on your work from here on. Hope you are not as intimidating as your portrait suggests. Link to comment
stoz 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Nice street photography, I wouldn't worry much about ... It's BW anyway. Kiddo looks overweight though. I wish him good luck. best regards, Stoz Link to comment
lex_jenkins 13 Posted June 5, 2011 Uh-oh, looks like this is another photo from which my follow-up comments vanished during a system glitch a year or so ago. Thanks, all, for taking the time to comment on this photo. Eight years later, it's still one of my favorites - I have this version of it framed and on display. I might eventually go back to the original square format version. Link to comment
