September Rain

I shot this in 2011 as rains from the remnants of tropical storm Leewere coming up from the Gulf of Mexico. Comments welcome.

It looks like it was very overcast yet there was just enough light to capture the lovely smile on this man's face. I hope you did not have any damage from the storm!

Love the umbrella and the patterned t-shirt/dashiki. This feels more like Jamaica, perhaps, than southern America. (But then since I haven't actually been to the south, perhaps the rural areas really are like that).

Thanks, guys.  Jack, most places around here don't look like this.  It was sheer good luck to catch the fancy umbrella and the fancy ironwork in the same shot.

 

The weather was really tropical when this was shot, with air coming up from the south.
