Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 19, 2012 I shot this in 2011 as rains from the remnants of tropical storm Leewere coming up from the Gulf of Mexico. Comments welcome.--Lannie Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted August 20, 2012 It looks like it was very overcast yet there was just enough light to capture the lovely smile on this man's face. I hope you did not have any damage from the storm! Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 20, 2012 No damage, Gail. Do you think I should brighten it a bit? --Lannie Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 21, 2012 Love the umbrella and the patterned t-shirt/dashiki. This feels more like Jamaica, perhaps, than southern America. (But then since I haven't actually been to the south, perhaps the rural areas really are like that). Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 22, 2012 Thanks, guys. Jack, most places around here don't look like this. It was sheer good luck to catch the fancy umbrella and the fancy ironwork in the same shot. The weather was really tropical when this was shot, with air coming up from the south. --Lannie Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 25, 2012 All the patterns meld together into an interesting capture. Link to comment
