Somtimes between the heat and the heady aroma of the blossoms,

one can drift off, and who knows what places the mind might visit?

(thankyou for any visits and comments, always welcome and

appreciated, Gail)

Took me a little while to realise that I was looking at a face there. Very creative! Great colours and pp work.

Hi Gail, I can't critique something like this because it is outside of my territory, my understanding.  An artist needs to do that.  I can only say whether I would hang it on a wall or not - that's as far as I can go with art - I could imagine this hanging in a big white modern New Yorkers apartment or in Hollywood mansion.  It's a very striking piece, and extremely creative.  You know Gail, you would do well if you could gather select pieces of work in a sort of photobook, or presentation, and write the things that you say when you place them on this site.  Your writing is as expressive as your work, I really think you should make a book.  Have you ever heard of Blurb?  It's very international and could be worth considering, that is of course unless you are already in that world.  Or I could imagine you actually making a book yourself, though that takes forever and you'd be stuck if someone wanted more than 3 copies......

I actually wasn't even sure whether to post this one?? And they are usually the ones that many like. When I look at it I do see what you mean, or even in someone's Loft with very expansive walls. I have not really  thought of doing a book but it would be a great idea. I have not heard of the 'Blurb'. I will have to look that one up. I don't do any type of Social networking at all, not really interested. PN is fine for me. I have issues with their lack of respect for Privacy. Yet at the same time there are many who think little of Privacy settings, or just don't know any better. I do not text, tweet, chirp, bark, meow, growl, or mutter, (well, sometimes I mutter). I will think on your ideas, and I do thank you for mentioning it, it is a very 'fine' compliment to hear that from one of my peers here on PN. Many thanks also for mentioning my writing, I agree with t your thoughts on that also. Thankyou Chris, very much!

The flower looks physically embedded in the figure's mind.  As Jamie said, the colors are absolutely wild.

Hi, Gail! I totally agree with Chris! You should do it and even if it is for your family only - it is worth it. As for the colours - I just love them. Especially Royal purple! It makes the whole picture look so rich! Warmest regards, Tamara

Deeper, stronger, more out there, but I love it. It's strong and expressionistic and it's a great work of art. I couldn't agree more with Chris about your skills and your future!

Love, Ulla

Wow. This is really striking. I hadn't visited your page for a few days. I'm glad I finally did. Good work.

Yes, I can see it being in an old Farmhouse, or even a Barn that has been redone into a Studio. Many thanks for your visit and input Michael!

Thankyou both for your enthusiastic comments, truly appreciated. The colours are a bit 'jarring' jamie - but I wanted them that way. It is not something that could hang in every house that's for sure!

If it were mine (impossible thing) I would hang it on a wall of my studio. Beautiful!

perhaps one day I will be able to do that. I am trying to get a 13x19 printer working. For some reason my CS6 freezes up when I go to print. I will have to uninstall the program, but with all the changes Adobe is doing (not happy at all) not sure that I want to uninstall, afraid things will get messed up, they are trying to take so much control, it is not fair.

But thank you for that very lovely compliment!!!

sincere regards, Gail
