agbaxter 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Trying to figure out how to take better mountain shots, how close to crop, how much foreground to include, lighting etc etc. This is from a recent hike. Please comment since I will learn more from a comment than a rating. Thanks. Link to comment
sanjeewa_wickramarachi 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Have read any books on photography - about composition etc.? Link to comment
alex1 0 Posted July 26, 2003 Mountian vistas are at their blandest under midday sun. Revisit the location at dawn or sunset, and you'll find it a lot more inspiring. Link to comment
agbaxter 0 Posted July 26, 2003 In response to the first comment, I have read books and taken one of those intro photography courses, why do you ask? As for the second, I wish I could get out to the mountains more, especially when there is more interesting light, however, being blissfully car-less, I can only get out when others are going.... which doesn't always correspond with ideal light time. I take the camera anyway because I think it all looks good despite the time of day. Link to comment
jeffrey_hitchens 0 Posted July 26, 2003 It doesn't look like this photo was shoot at the best time of day and that tree isn't helping. Good idea, but not the right subjects. Link to comment
