starvy 7 Posted August 17, 2012 Anton,Lovely composition. Judging by your oeuvre here one gets the impression that you like the viewer to look at your photographs and think. This is not just a visual experience but you want to enter the visceral. I like that sort of photography myself and the technical accomplishment that the thought process necessitates is remarkable. The road here could well be the sea or ending in the sea. The over exposure on the whites has certainly added a layer of mystery. I think this is a very strong piece of work. Link to comment
otto_b 0 Posted August 18, 2012 Great photo - almost metaphysical with the woman walking along on the edge of reality. Link to comment
aqualarue 0 Posted August 18, 2012 Hi Anton, very beautiful. I had to look twice just to make sure that she was walking next to a road and not the sea. Having her small in the frame is really good and in the middle, I could not imagine this wth the woman to the left or to the right of centre, allowing of course for the fence. It's really captivating. Then unfortunately I read the title, and did not see that at all. I hate titles, bad things. I don't want to disapprove because this image is a perfect documentary stand alone story, it does not need supporting images, she looks unsteady, is on the edge of a precipice, nervous, a fence to the right and an unwillingness to move left is a strong feeling conveyed in this image, the far distance is non-existent. You have Everything here for the viewers' imagination, don't title it Anton, that's my advice. Link to comment
