Very impressive Line, I always wonder how can you get so close without scaring them. (Macro is not all the answer, must be your technique and patience).

You need to make them feel safe... and be patient. Damselflies will fly away when you first approach them, but tend to return to the exact same perch if they don't feel threatened...

Sometimes you wonder from where creators  of science fiction characters get their ideas.
