Cardinal in Trees

Shot taken from my front porch (it's a stilt home, so is up high in

the trees).

Nice shot, I have problems getting that close to cardinals. If the branch wasn't crossing his chest it would be better. Other than that nice work!

To complemnt the preety and extremely coloful bird, I believe that a more colorful dark and not drab background would have ben better. Getting such a good portrait of the bird without it moving and making the picture less sharp is a true feat!

nice but a tighter crop would make it better.

The twigs and their positions add to the realism of the scene.

Definitely real, Ken - I was sitting out early one morning in my nightgown, taking pictures. :)

Kim i love all your cardinal shots, and many others, but this has to be my fav. Green and red rarely work together and here they do. Centred and that works too, but the ease of his pose is the highpoint...perfectly relaxed..even the buds tell a story spring is here...gotta say 7/6
