An excellent photograph. The paucity of interest in this one is inexplicable. I like the solid diagonal of firmanent juxtaposed with the roaring falls; it is quite a contrast of elements. The tree is the binding tie. Perhaps a touch wider crop on top. But good job! Regards.

Hard to capture the power of these falls and how amazing it is that

this tree manages to survive in the rocks.

So maybe I misrated... I was also struck by the strong diagonal - but tree seems "high" in frame. That said, the picture did strike me immediately when it popped up - "wild" leapt to mind. Hmmm...

And here I am stuck in the Southeast.

What I like about this is the contrast between the rock sustaining the tree versus the massive flow of water on the right. I say, "Hang in there, tree."

Although the title emphasizes the tree, I think the greatest irony of this shot is that the fragility and bareness of the tree stands in stark contrast to the awesome power of the falls and solidity of the rocks...Great photo

If the tree were farther to the left, you wouldn't get the sense of the precarious spot it picked to grow. I wanted to show how amazing nature is. Thanks for the comments.

Very nice image. You have captured both the power and frailty of nature. My only wish would be that you had captured more of the tree.

Bob, if you will look at my comment above yours, I had attached another view, with the whole tree. Thanks for your comments.

Nature's contrast. It a great capture. As for the comments on the cropping, after seeing the larger crop. This is the one, with possible some of the rock on the top right corner. this would be a great shot for you to digitally enhance. Regardless - Wonderful.

Thanks for visiting, Scott. You can only imagine what a rush it was to be standing right there (literally and figuratively!).

I just love waterfalls and the fury of this one is amazing, well done. I think thats why I like them so much because they can run from total fury or very gental and pastorial. Like the sea...
