This must be viewed large. This image was captured just a few minutes

before the next one at the same site, what a difference a few minutes

make. It was difficult establishing separation in such low light. Your

critiques and comments are appreciated as always. Thanks. Larry

This is a very nice shot, but I actually prefer the one with a little more light. I think the colours are exceptionally pretty in that one. Both shots are good though!

I also agree with you and Adrienne about Queenstown. Although I have been a regular visitor to NZ over the years, I haven't been back to Queenstown since the first visit and that was just about 20 years ago now. But I still felt, even then, that it more touristy than other places in S. Island. I'm sure it must be even more so by now.

Pat,

Hi Pat,    The two positives we found in Queenstown were the Reis Hotel, superb place to stay - best of our accommodations in NZ - and a restaurant called Fishbone.   Thanks for your comment.  I too like the lighter image better.

I actually like both. I love the colour of the sky in this one, and the stars you captured. Lovely nightscape. The sky is so clear. I imagine even the stars must look different in New Zealand!
