This was taken this summer while traveling around the United Staes,

specifically, Washington, Oregon, Northern Nevada, and California. It is a

detail of an old abandoned truck that has been used for target practice by

the locals. I really liked how the entrance impressions were all on the

same side, and that the exit openings followed suit on the right. What are

your impressions?

It's quite original..I was thinking about a crop from left & right to make it more abstract, but then you would lose lots of the bullet holes.

Thanks for your input, Timo.  I struggled with this composition, and tried cutting out the small triangular areas where the fenders join the hood, but felt it was too tight of a crop to make my intention work, which was to reveal the bullet holes.  I was not necessarily trying to make this a complete abstract.  I appreciate your comments, and thank you for taking the time to provide your insights.  Take care.
