sgust 1 Posted August 27, 2012 It's a unique butterfly, I've never seen one like it. But on a technical note, your point of focus is on the ground and not on the subject. It's something that can happen pretty easily if you have your autofocus set to the wrong setting. Link to comment

I think it is a very nice picture even if the focus is on a ground, because if you look at the picture from a far the butterfly and it's shadow together make another butterfly :). The sparkles of red and yellow really decorate the shadow and draw attention to "the other wing", which I find interesting! All the best, Tamara Link to comment
sranga 2,135 Posted October 10, 2012 Thanks Tamara, yes I was also attracted by the 'form-factor', so much so even though the minimum focus distance of the lens I had was 7ft (500mm lens), I *had* to take a snap. Link to comment
