Not one person I showed it to liked it....as a matter of fact, they

hated it. Comments.

Oops, i just commented on another version of this one.

Well..... I like the contrast on this one better. But here I don't really like the border/edge. And the crack that runs bottom left to top right sort of breaks your face...

Perhaps a mix of both shots (without the crack and the edge?)

Just my 2cts of course. I *do* like the idea of what you're trying to do! Keep experimenting!

I think it is just wonderful. So different and colourful. Just the crack running across your face is a bit annoying. Everything els is very good. Well done. Regards, Uwe

self portraits are a curious place to work. but I think it is an important genre to work with form time to time.

This is a very interesting image and thought provoking.

I wonder if you considered using the crack line to mark a division between black and white and colour including the matt and the frame. Either colour on the bottom right and bw the rest or the reverse.

the other idea tha came to mind was to place a narrow band parallel to the top and bottom that isolated colour to you eyes but included again the matt and framing....with the rest BW.

just some ideas that came to mind.....

I have a couple of self portraits in my folder 4 fun and other reasons....one nice thing about self-portraits, the model wont gripe too much or walk out on you. :)

regards, Bill
