pnital 36 Posted August 8, 2012 I visited Oslo in the very begining of the 90ths. Two of the highlights were the garden of sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), and the Edvard Munch museum(1863-1944).My impressions were so strong and profond, and being in my painting era I felt I would like to create a dialogue with both of them. That was as well my starting "romance"with the camera. My second visit in Oslo was in 2004 and I was already deep in Photography...Lately I felt a longing to return to Vigeland's work again, and as it was my film period, I went to the CD with my photographs of his artistic phenomenal creation.I will upload some of them. Thanks for viewing Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted August 8, 2012 very nice composition...keeping the tall pillar at center works well since the surrounding breaks symmetry. compliments -koushik Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted August 16, 2012 Real among the stone. I lke how the geometric perfection of the base allows the obelisk to rise up and up toward the sky. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 17, 2012 Donna, it is not the Babel tower, it is the tower of human life from birth till old age. Thanks as well, for noticing my work done after beeing exposed to Vigeland park.Jeff ,yes it is the real and art life combined beautifully together. (Please read( if you didnot already) what I have answered David Meyers in the next photograph. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 18, 2012 You travel to so many interesting places, I'm sure with your artistic eye it's a constant source of inspiratiion. Creativity on this scale can't help but lift our spirits even when the medium is far from our own. Art seeds itself if we are receptive and the cross pollenization between "species" can inspire new growth in the most unexpected ways. The trick is to keep the fires of inspiration burning because if they go out there's no beacon to lead us on. Sometimes I forget what I'm doing and where I'm going and it's then that fellow artists can help kindle a bit of flame, a little light, until the path is found again. Link to comment
