Cypress in Silhouette

This was a thiry second exposure about an hour before sunrise. This

is actually the Western sky. The only explanation for the

illumination has to be reflected light from the city of Lafayette,

about 8 miles away. Oh, the bird is a Black Crowned Night Heron. It

was nice of him not to move for 30 seconds.

Quite a nice picture Ronnie! It's really effective at bringing emotions out. The kind of image for which color isn't even needed.

This silhouette is very nice! The tree by itself would have been okay, but the bird really makes it more interesting. Did you thank him for staying still? :)
