A most interesting and colorful image.  What else is there to say?

The lighting feels a little harsh for my taste but I like the idea.

Paul, I like it.  Yes, the shadows are hard, but for me it works.  There are a lot of interesting shapes defined by shadow, like the line above her breast to the shoulder blade.  Good job.

Thanks. Regarding the harshness of the light. If you are going to photograph live acts you are going to be photographing with stage lighting and floodlights (if you are lucky). You have virtually no control over what the lighting will be.  I like the challenge of figuring out how to deal with the kind of lighting you get. It’s never the same at a live performance. I added a little Ortin Effect to give it a bit softer look.

To me all photography is about shapes and shadows and this demonstrates that perfectly.  Excellent subject--natural and real.  This would be an excellent presentation of this subject in the studio, live it shows great skill and insight.

I have done a lot of stage photography and the lighting is a bitch indeed and never ideal, but you have balanced it very well and this images has wonderful depth and texture. If anything it makes this image bold and alive.
