stemked 4 Posted July 29, 2012 I have a few images that I had to play with in photoshop, so I'd like some opinions on if I got it right or if there is a better approach. I accidentally left the camera on 'white balance correction'. So in photoshop I added back some color hue. I also cropped the right side to give a less centered subject. Does it seem appropriate? Comments appreciated. Doug Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted July 29, 2012 This image (as posted) is quite small and doesn't allow a larger view. The lack of exif data doesn't help with your settings and focal length, nevertheless your presentation is good, with good DoF and a nice clear eye.I feel that the plumage could be a little better defined, although it could be my monitor...... a larger image would have given a better viewing.A good shot nevertheless............Well done.Regards Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted July 29, 2012 I like the slightly offset composition / crop with the bird looking into the frame. The birds head and eye looks to be well defined and sharp against a pleasantly soft backdrop. I agree with Grayham though, some exif information is always useful for learning and advising respectively.Compliments! Alf Link to comment
daveinwilton 1 Posted July 30, 2012 A quite pleasing shot of this Grouse, head and eye beautifully clear and sharp. The coloration seems natural. I see no reason to repeat the prior members' critique requests, however their points are well founded, and would have aided me as well. Best regards...-Dave Link to comment
