davidmccracken 2 Posted July 15, 2003 I posted the original of this photo some time ago. Someone commented that it would look better if one of the chillies was green. Not wanting to disappoint, I made one of the chillies green. What do you think? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted July 15, 2003 This is the original. More 'chilli' photographs can be seen in my 'hot stuff' folder. Link to comment
bacsa 0 Posted July 15, 2003 The problem(*my* problem) with this version is, that the green chili is actually glass-like. A bit like transparent. Should look better if darker. The shadow on the bottom is also weird a bit. Otherwise, nice idea. Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted July 17, 2003 To me, the green looks artificial. I would also prefer to see a darker green. It would be more authentic. Otherwise, I love the idea! Link to comment
ian_greant 0 Posted July 18, 2003 Nice one David, The thumb really caught my eye. I think it's time for a reshoot with real red and green peppers. :) Cheers! Link to comment
josvromen 0 Posted July 21, 2003 I like the composition. Great subject made by small things. Link to comment
jeffrey_hitchens 0 Posted July 22, 2003 Hey David it's Jeffrey. Sorry I haven't rated any of you're photos lately, but I just looked at this one. I like the idea and I only see a few things that I don't like. The green chili is way too bright and I think that it's a bit bright in the upper right corner. Even with that though, nice shot. randy_january 0 Posted July 22, 2003 I don't think I "feel" the cold in this one. The interesting color green is a bit distracting for me. I think I liked the original. The two red chili peppers remind me of lips and with the apparent frost I can almost feel the hot and cold. This one doesn't speak to me like the original. Link to comment
photogabby 1 Posted August 4, 2003 I would like to see the green a different shade but the idea really works. Link to comment
ben.goossens 0 Posted August 18, 2003 .. must better. I like it whan you are creative. Regards, Ben Link to comment

acearle 1 Posted December 14, 2003 I like the green version better, but would prefer a little darker green. Great shot, tho' :). Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted February 19, 2004 Again, clean and simple, and well thought out! I agree that you should make the green a tad darker, but I like it! very creative! Link to comment
rejamesuk 0 Posted March 23, 2004 the green looks better than the red, but i would really LOVE it, if you just simply retook the photo, Because it does, as others have said, look artificial. other than that, i really do think its a fantastic photo, they almost look as if they're cuddling each other! very graphic. love it. r_s7 0 Posted August 31, 2004 You have a great set of original photos including this one. I liked how you mixed the two colors and the shapes match also, plus all of the good things that everyone said. I also want to say thanks for your comments on two hobbies, I want to buy a slide scanner so I could get all my slides up here. All of the shots in my folder are all old print film. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 31, 2004 Thanks Ronaldo. I am glad you liked this. Up until my latest series on nudes, this was the pic with most ratings. Photographically speaking, I prefer this to my nudes. However, I guess healthy naked bodies are generally more appealing. I hope you get your slide scanner soon! Link to comment
jpava 0 Posted September 30, 2005 Hi! I do prefer the original! That green seems "neon", very artificial. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 2, 2005 Your comment is appreciated. The artificial feeling you mention is something I like. However, I understand not everyone will share my view. Thanks again! Link to comment
