American White Pelican

Sometimes you just have to scratch, no matter how difficult it may be!

Now this is a welcomed, different pose... making it a very viewable image. Whites are not the easiest to capture, being prone to "blow-outs" but you have manged this well with good definition in the body plumage. The tight crop works well as the natural pose of the pelican does not require any additional space to create the illusion of movement.

Very interesting pose and wonderful feather detail. I think you got the perfect exposure for the whites. The water reflections are absolutely beautiful. So much so, they almost distract from the subject! Great shot!
