Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 20, 2012 Wow! At first glimpse -- for a second -- I thought this is a woman under a veil, but no! It's a man wrapped in lace, with the vaguest of features seen through it. The textures of floor and wall provide a neutral but nice backdrop. The colorful left top corner is a mystery but a counterpoint, somehow adding vibrancy and even tension. But the figure -- even reminding me of [i hate to write it... but...] a corpse dancing with head covered like that is curious and interesting. I like the stance and the bit of color like a smear behind him. Love the lighting! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 21, 2012 Wonderful picture, Pnina. The lighting and composition are superb. The multi-fabric "cloud" intruding from the left brings a new and deeper balance to the image. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 22, 2012 Donna, Mehmet and Jack. I have a lot of this dance that is very colorful and I'm glad that you liked it. I played a lot with the lights in this series. Donna and Jack it is always a pleasure to read your eloquent detailed comments and impression ! Link to comment
3m 0 Posted July 22, 2012 Wonderfully composed, Pnina -- The minimalist approach really enhances the overall impact. And yes, the lighting is superb here indeed. Very nice work! (The horizontal textures of the stage floor faintly evoke a beach / low tide feeling, together with the pile of fabric at upper left, a small island of sorts...) Link to comment
