What can I say?  It's like magical. The contrast of the flower with the "fluid" :)

Seriously, it looks like liquid bronze. Very well seen and well done.

Take care Tony.

I remember this one Tony, and I remember commenting on it, but perhaps this is a redo, or the other one was just for critique. I do recall liking it very much ! Whether this one is better, I can not recall now, but I do know what I see before me is very impressive and beautiful. The impatience blossom(?) rests so comfortably, and the reflections are lovely. Best from me my friend, it is lovely! Most sincerely, Gail

Thank you very much for your very generous rating which is very much appreciated. This is a redo where I have made the background a bit lighter in color with a selective layer. The first one was up for critique only but I decided that since I really liked this one, I would give it a try on the rating scene.

I like the blue in the bubbles as it contrasts with the gold. I also caught a faint amount of warm light on the flower and the shadow.

All the best as I spend some time with my grand kids in the next 30 minutes or so. The evenings around here feel very comfortably cool and i hope that this is not an indication that summer is almost over.

Ed I was hoping you would offer some suggestions on how to improve this image.

This is certainly unique and well done, a real scroll stopper.  Every element is real but the scene overall is surreal.  This would make a good image for a jewel commercial ;-)... Just excellent... Mike

Beautifully captured and composed Tony! Think I may have commented on a similar photo that you uploaded before. Again beautiful photo and the water does look like liquid gold! Best wishes. Sarah.

My many thanks to all of you for your input all of which is appreciated. Some have commented only some have rated only and others have commented and rated.

I just wanted to point out that all of the elements here are as I found them. They were fortuitous circumstance of which I took advantage. It was primarily the positioning of the camera to get the golden reflection. Editing was minimal and has been limited to lightening, darkening and contrast adjustment on a selective basis and these were done with Capture NX V1.3. Photoshop was used mostly for copyright 'stuff'.

many thanks again.

Superb work Tony! The colors, the raindrops, and the flower, certainly came together nicely for this momentous occasion, which you photographed superbly!

All the best,
Neil
