Ross,   This is yet another of your image in your adventure log of the WP&YR.  You must live up here to get all these shots.  The light and sky in this one are superb.  Viewing large brings the jagged trees and mountains alive. My only question is whether there isn't too much sand in the foreground, detracting some from the drama of the image?  Yes, the reflections in the puddle are wonderful and image enhancing.  I guess whether to leave the image as is or crop is a judgment call.  You might even get an image of its own out of the posts and reflection.  Isn't it easy to wax away at ideas about terrific images.  Nice work.  Till later.  Larry

Hi Larry- Nice to hear from you & appreciated your comments. With regard to cropping I scrolled to just underneath the right hand post & I guess it leads the eyes into the picture more directly & in a way you could say the puddle is distracting.but I guess I can live with it. You thought we may reside in this area. Unfortunately,we do not live in the north,it is more than a hop & a skip away. Our home is in Southern Ontario & is 52 km. east of Toronto.. SInce retiring in 91 we have traveled four times to the west. Hope you liked the locomotive images, had more than I thought. Some of the images were not really up to scratch , but I wanted to show the ruggedness of this neck of the woods. I want to thank you again for tellling me about you being a rail fan as this nudged me to create this portfolio which I really enjoyed doing & I hope you enjoyed them as well. Best Regards-Ross
