I don't know how this one escaped comment but I think it works in many ways. I don't know if the chairs were put there on purpose as if this scene was staged or if its a weird street thing but its so interesting with the girl apparently happily ignoring them on the stone steps. She looks so caught up in (maybe) her cell phone that she may not even be aware of them. In any case its a very interesting and creative shot both in composition and processing. I always like a street shot that makes a person think.

i'm totally with Lynn here, Daniel... the dof, the vignetting, those crazy chairs, the girl holding the whole composition together... extremely well imagined by you! :-} dp

hi Daniel. I too love his photo. The lighting the scale of the woman in contrast to the steps. I however dont like the chairs.they seem out of place.  they remind me of a plastic society.Perhaps that is the point of the photo. a contrast between new and old worlds. new ideas and old traditions?

Thank you Lyy, Ranga, Donna and Stephanie, for your very kind comments and keen observations, and feedback.

I sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to view and analyze this image. This is not a staged image. The chairs are put there by a small restaurant, for which reason the young student does not use them. I was lucky to find this natural occurrence and contradictory situation, so I took the shot. Your comments are well taken and much appreciated.

Very strong composition and graphics. Too much vignetting to my taste as your subjects are not too big to draw more attention with that technique.

Interesting scene. Good point of view. But I agree with Vlad: too much vignetting shouts for attention where it is not needed. Karl
