The church of Santa Maria, in a romanesque style was finished in the second half of the 12th century. The cloister has plant of irregular pentagon and was constructed between the 14th and 16th centuries.

I can only say stunning to discribe the Santa Maria Cloister Arches. The texture of rough hewn stone, the muted colors washed accross the varied surfaces, the hint of softness contributed by the ferns. If it were mine I'd definately frame it and display it promanantly.

Love the Gothic (Late Romanesque style?) vaulting. Picture needs to be rotated about 2 degrees CCW.
