Our visit to Christchurch was just days before the iconic cathedral

was sadly torn down because of the devastating damage from the

February 2011 and September 2010 earthquakes. Although

much of the city is cordoned behind chain link fences, its

residents' spirits remain positive, not beaten. The dead remnants

of flowers attached to the fence and appeal to save the cathedral

speak the commitment of its people. We wish we could have

spent more time in Christchurch and contributed more to its

economy as its people of strength build it back, hence the Maori

phrase Kia Kaha, have strength. Thanks in advance for your

comments..
