otto_b 0 Posted July 9, 2012 I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, you do it well. This is another one of those that I would normally find completely uninteresting: an artificial pose out in nature that seems more like an excuse to take a photo of someone in the nude, rather than picking up on any inherent beauty or human element. And yet, the contrast of her pose to the shapes of the trees in the background, a contrast that is not just a plain contrast but also a mirroring, the stark light on her which sets her apart (without losing any of the contours in her body), everything works together to produce a fantastic, other-worldly image. Well done!!! Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted July 9, 2012 Lovely shot and lovely redhead! BTW, if you like comments, remember to make them yourself for others. Link to comment
andreas marx 0 Posted July 10, 2012 You made a ver nice and effective combination / composition between model and nature - very nice. Colors add to that. Link to comment
OutsideTheNorm 34 Posted July 10, 2012 I'm sad that you think it's a composition Andreas - it is single exposure on location. While I may sometimes blend exposures to bring out detail that would otherwise be lost in a single exposure, I don't composite shots as you seem to believe. The model was on location and a nice large aperture leaves her sharp and the trees well behind her pleasingly soft. Wonderful and cursed cloudy day leaves no sunlight on her and a light from behind where the sun has bounced off the clouds. No reflector at all - simply me, a camera, a model and work to spot what would make a pleasing image. Honestly, I would suck at trying the kind of compositing that you think I've done because I just have never found it necessary or appealing. Link to comment
