Sure. Portraits are about expression and sometimes the universality of expression. When expressions are are delivered with great light, crisp focus in the right place, and minimal distractions from the subject, you have a winning photograph. (Like this one.)

I my monitor, it seems a little too yellow in hue, but that might be me. If not, it is easily fixed.
