Carolina in the Pines (Nikon D3200 Test Shot)

This tree, the northern white pine, only grows naturally in NorthCarolina in the mountains--further north, it grows all the way down tosea level. It does very well in the Piedmont of the Carolinas as anornamental. Comments welcome.

Among the Iroquois, it is known as the Tree of Peace.

 

I always loved the way the limbs seemed to be flying like wings when one sees it in the wild as a mature tree.
