The Dune's Dream

"Dream" is a good word to describe this photo, from the very narrow range of tones among the undulations, with a few low shrubs included to complicate the dream, to the gradual darkening in the distance culminating in a very dark sky.  Departs somewhat from reality, perhaps hard to interpret, but it's there in front of us nevertheless, just like a dream.

Yeah, I wondered how you achieved this.  I've used that technique once on some vine maple leaves, and I really liked the result.  I've never thought of applying it to a broader landscape -- another idea to put in my mental photo box.
