jim schwaiger 0 Posted July 9, 2003 Cropped the sides to get this one in square format. The top of the balloon is on the film, but thanks to the print lab, it's not on the print. Is it important here? I wish the woman looking over the side was easier to see as well. Link to comment
peterneibert 0 Posted July 10, 2003 You worry too much. This is great just like it is. Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted July 11, 2003 I don't think it's at all important to get all of the balloon in the picture, and the square format really does work here. I would not have noticed the woman at all if she had not been pointed out and I guess that makes her a not very important part of the picture. I generally like the composition, but I have this nagging feeling that something could be improved around the basket - maybe a little more sky beneath it, and/or the whole image rotated slightly clockwise. The very bright white at the lower left makes me wish there was a frame around this one, and the white line on the right (contrail?) is distracting. All these are very minor nits on an excellent picture. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted July 13, 2003 I am really enjoying this series of shots. So far this is my favorite. Great deep color and good detail. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Did you get a crick in your neck with these? We were watching eagles soar in Alaska and I could hardly look down after while. Nice colors and I like the cropping. I think we all know what the balloon looks like without that edge. Link to comment
