overdiep 0 Posted July 4, 2012 Nice shot, Ruud, though I have the feeling that the person could fall backwards. As a viewer I consider there is a large car to put it in balance, but in this picture this part isn't visible, therefore I got the impression that it is off balance. Do you agree? Groeten. tamaramar 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Excellent capture! I like the title too. Makes us think, that we become (or we try to become) so independent, that sometimes it is so sad : we are human and live among humans, so how come we end up like this, without any help? It makes me so much happier when I see somebody pushing a weelchair - athere's human touch to it, isn't it? Great picture, Master! Best regards, Tamara Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 5, 2012 I agree with Tamara. I like the double-meaning of the title; in a way, it must feel great to have a degree of independence, but it would certainly be a warmer pic of the helper were in the photo. I don't think it's off-balance because of the crop. It focuses in on an issue. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 7, 2012 I am sorry I missed this one earlier Ruud. I had a friend who was (or still is) in the same situation, and had a van changed to work like this. His wife was a good friend also, and she had quite a time caring for him. His van was a very integral part of having a normal 'type of life'. So important for him to get our for a drive, and then there are Dr's appt's etc. A very good shot of what life is like for 'many' not as fortunate as many of us. Link to comment
