If only we had such items to photograph here in the new world. Unfortunately I am confined into a materialistic culture where anything that is more than fifteen minutes old is trite and disposed of.

The perspective of this tower is really nothing extra ordinary for architectual shots. In fact, this perspective limits the impact of the image. Much more of the theme of history could be brought out by showing more of the structure, as hinted on the right, and even the roof. A little more decay will bring out the age and history of the building much more.

I think that the choice of IR was a good one. I imagine that this structure is relatively flat toned. Using IR has brought out the texture of the blocks more as well as the added benefit of making the sky, a symbol of time passing by, much stronger. In addition, it has really pulled out the highlights, being IR I am guessing that it is moss, right out. This adds interest to the image.

I like your choice of using a warm tone for the image. Again, it implies age for the structure.
