As I understand it, having never been to Israel, this is a fairly common scene here very well captured. There is an interesting element of these two, probably in the same unit, out on what would normally look like a date. Add the weaponry to that and there is almost a bit of humor to that relationship. After giving you that look, Meir, did she say anything to you?
