another attempt at 'exploring the inner shadows' through self portraiture.

Photographed about a month before i became a victim of assault and

robbery this passing saturday morning. Now, three days later, I revisited

this image and heavily manipulated it in photoshop to have a darker, more

helpless feel to it. Im actually an optimist, just exploring some themes as

an exercise, :-)

I love the series and especially the drive/focus behind undertaking it . . . You've got me thinking of attempting a similar exploration.

GREAT NEWS! Ive just heard (today 9 July 2012) that this image has been selected as an Artslant Showcase Winner. Artslant.com being the online gallery that not only covers all important art news around the world, but has this Showcase in order to acknowledge and encourage image making indifferent genres.

Best of all, is that this image comes from the series Ive been re-making after having been mugged a week ago. Making the image was one of the ways Ive been using to come to terms and digest the assault, that had left me unconscious on a pavement after having throttled.
