leo burkey 0 Posted July 2, 2012 Summer in Yosemite is always hazy and therefore harder to photograph. Sometimes it can work in your favor at least I think this photograph shows that. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted July 2, 2012 It is rare that a black and white image evokes the feel and look of a painting, but this photograph does just that--and does it in spades! Leo, this is really a superb piece of work, and really reminds me very much of the paintings of the artists of the mid-19th century Hudson River School. The superb composition and exquisite details combine to really bring home the grandeur and mystique of Yosemite National Park. Your post-processing and black and white conversion simply could not be better. This is art, Amigo! Bravo! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted July 2, 2012 I think the haze works just fine here for layering distances, the composition and the conversion are wonderful. My only nits would be the slight counter-clockwise rotation (most noticeable on the far pines reflections) and the odd red cast to the sky at the top edge (maybe from burning?) Both easy to fix. alfbailey 1 Posted July 3, 2012 The haze combined with the foreground sharpness is a delight to view, I can only echo the former comments. This is one of the best B & W landscapes I have seen.Sincere Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted July 3, 2012 Leo, the reflection is perfect. The image looks like an old time sepia. Superb landscape photography. Congratulations. Larry Link to comment
