robert,  not sure about dead flowers having more character,  but most certainly like the flower you have put up to substantiate your opinion.  so simple, and for lack of a better word, has character to burn.  nice work.

robert,  your comment made me chuckle,  as a few years back now, i also did a series on the wilting and final death of a couple arum lilies. my wife kept wanting to throw them out and put something a bit more vibrant in the vase.  i kept saying no leave them,  she also had a hard time with my desire to work with the dead or dieing. women eh!

As I have a tendency to become absorbed in things like photography  and grandchildren at the expense of the finer points of housework, I often have vases of dead flowers in my house.  Your assertion that dead flowers are more interesting is thus most appealing - I plan to use it as a defence next time anyone questions my housekeeping!  

Seriously, though, I like this image very much - great shapes, textures and colours.  Well done.
