GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 24, 2012 My goodness Laurnet, this woman was so frail, and she certainlly did have such a 'heavy load'. I was going to say 'burden' but that just doesn't fit. He has a beautiful smile on her face, and I imagine she was most thankful for her 'package', unless this was her job. Then again, if it was, she could have been very thankful to earn some wages at all. We will never know I imagine. But great capture from over 15 years ago. Most sincerely, Gail Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted June 24, 2012 You are correct in your observation about the size of this woman and, yes, this is a heavy load.I took this photo and the next one posted in this folder as the women were on the roadside going uphill but still a releif from the rough climb spent on the hillside gathering this deadwood so essential for the family cooking. This is a regular chore they assume in their daily life survival cycle which explains,at least partially, why they manage to do it with a smile.Thank you for viewing and for taking the time to comment.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
