The championship is known as UEFA and it is currently underway.

The graphic behind is still posted as of today.

I wonder if the white haired woman, closest to camera, realizes that she may qualify as a morsel for the football (soccer) -- crazed fan, background with game balls in his glasses.

"I'm so happy,I could bite your head off"...Maybe good timing but most probably you saw this one coming and waited in ambush to create this excellent image.Bravo!

Good timing?

No.

Laugh my head off?

Yes, but not so much as the other day on review when I worked this one up and finally, (yes finally) got the point.

You see, Laurent, I do not always GET every photo I take, even when they have some great insight or just capture some fine whimsy (as here).

In my mind I was capturing a man with two footballs (soccer balls) with eyeballs inside his glasses, and the woman's hair helped complete an imaginary triangle as her light hair tones were mixed with dark in a similar  and complementary circle.

That was it, an absurd photo of a man with two absurd eyeballs, part white and smaller part dark spots on the orbs, left to right, and then at the bottom, to complete an imaginary (connect the dots) triangle, the bunned hair of the woman sitting,  back to us, her hair also mostly light with smaller parts of darkness creates an analogy to the footballs (soccer balls) in tone.

Get it?  Three orbs, all absurd.  The two balls, completely absurd and her  hair (an 'orb' if you can 'see' it) to complete the triangle.

Then as I worked this up, I understood that 'HE'S ABOUT TO BITE HER HEAD OFF',  AND I ROARED, SO MUCH IT COULD BE HEARD ACROSS THE WAY to the consternation at 3:30 a.m. for wondering neighbors as they tossed in summer's humidity just before the sun was to rise on the shortest night of the year.

That BITING OFF part had completely escaped me until I had worked this one up.

I felt so stupid when I noticed it; after all, I'm the supposed 'all seeing photographer' with 'great insight' into my own photos.

Hah!

I had taken a 'clever picture' but in my view more an intellectually clever one, but when finished I saw slapstick.

I wonder how many of the initial raters, who gave it relatively low rates 'SAW' it as I first saw it, and how many will see it before reading this as I now see it?

No matter; it is what it is.

I didn't know how to caption it; it's personal to each viewer.

Glad you enjoyed this one.

Didn't take great timing either, I was eating French fries (pommes frites or simply frites) seated across the way and had any number of possible chances which would NOT have got the BITE so clearly, but just took one shot and GOT 'THE BITE' clearly.

Imagine that!

I think there is some subliminal part of my brain that works even when I'm biting into a handful of frites and supposedly my brain is turned off while I just snap something 'interesting' and 'playing around with my equipment' out of boredom.

Luck was on my side considering my intellectual myopia.  (Or had I seen it all along, the toothful slavering over her head. and just blocked it out?)

Thanks for the insightful critique, even if it credits me with far too much (conscious) thought.

;~))

P.S. Laurent:   Ambush?  No.

Good timing:  No, bad timing, I didn't get it until just before I posted it.

Perhaps I 'saw' the SECOND point, while concentrating on the 'intellectual point, noted above, but who knows?
