Coming from you that's worth a paragraph.  Street photography such as this doesn't require the dreaded one-on-one with strangers.  Best, LM.

What I like here is the different graphic design of the towers, and the very nice B/W pp.The sun ( in this case) is just a distraction....";-)) the point of camera is a good one, standing in the street....;-)) nice composition ,Len

The colour version didn't resonate with me.  This was, to me, the most flattering view of this building available at the time I was on scene.  The sun was reflecting off another building and so couldn't be avoided and still maintain the interesting graphics.  By taking this one from street level (I'm not Spider Man) the resulting angular lines actually enhance the look of the tower in my opinion.  With this result I felt enough confidence to offer it up for critique.  Thanks for your thoughts.  Best, LM.

The perspective gives a marvelous sense of hieght and I can't fault your conversion . Rather than being a distraction , I think the flare adds interest and helps break up the mass . I just wish there was a cloudy sky ! A case for a montage ? Great shot ! Bill

The flare! Yes, not much I could do about that anyway.  May as well embrace it.  A solution to the cloudless sky would have to be a bit of Photoshop hanky panky as they were clear that day.  I'm not so much of a purist that I wouldn't do that.  It's just that I currently lack the skills.  I'll try it when I've seen the light.  :-)  Thanks for stimulating that thought.  Best, LM.

Good to have your take on this offering.  It begged to be photographed so I obliged.  :-)  A pleasing result from a little P&S.  Best, LM.
