new zealand Stirling Falls

Stirling falls is one of a number of large waterfalls in Milford Sound, New

Zealand. This was taken aboard an overnight cruise boat that moved in

close enough to get rather wet. Thanks in advance for taking your time to

Been to Milford and its amazing. Went there when it was raining and the amount of waterfalls cascading over the mountain side you couldn't count and was told that if it had stopped raining that most would dry up. Anyway  this waterfall brings back spectacular memories on board the boat that takes you up the fjord. And yes they take you in nice and close to the water.

Hi Ann,

Glad to hear you shared this experience with us. It was not raining, but overcast when we were there.  We took the overnight cruise, so we had a reasonably leisurely time in the fiord and on the Tasman Sea.  I have other images of the falls with just water spray, we were that close.  I appreciate your comment and would be interested in seeing any of your NZ images.  I will look through your portfolio.  Thanks, again.  Larry
