It must have been an hour and a half that I was here since dawn

photographing the beautiful rocky shores of Crystal Cove. I wanted to

head eastward as I was hoping the sunshine would make its way over

the blue skies. The blackbird coming from nowhere suddenly perched on

the bigger rock and I just had to press the shutter with no time to set my

exposure preferences. I noticed my camera was set for an 8 second

exposure from a previous shot but had to let the exposure pass hoping

the bird would not fly away despite my presence, and it didn’t. Hence,

as you observed the waves came up with a silky appearance. Here’s the

outcome far from ideal with the body of the bird transected by the

horizon line but was satisfied nonetheless. A single exposure! Your

thoughts! So sorry for the initial rating made. I had to re-post this to

correct some text in the caption. Thank you.

I think the capture is just fine Lester!! Beautiful colours and POV. How are you liking your Nex 7? My Dad has a Nex but one older. He would love to get the Nex 7. He couldn't say enough about the one he has when I chatted with him about it last week. Lovely series you have shared with us. Many thanks, Gail
