Bumble Bees have been so scarce the last few years, it is so great to

finally see an increase in their numbers this year. Plus I love to

Photograph them. (many thanks for any visits, truly appreciate, Gail)

A gorgeous presentation. Striking details and artistically managed dof have increased the attention-value of the image. Appreciable framing. Best regards.

wonderful composition, color and light. I do not think you need the border --- the image is exquisite without any decoration. compliments -koushik

nice one!  you could get a little more dof by going past the 2.8. Agree that the frame is really unnecessary. The other insect (bee) was probably a sweat bee.

Nice color capture too.

As I have said before, macros are not to be discussed much, it is either good or not good! This one is excellent, ha!

Best regards dear Gail

Very beautiful, Gail. I just purchased the same macro lens you're using and can't wait to start using it for macro work.

many thanks for dropping by Mark. Your lens will be newer than mine. Mine does not have IS, and I find that if I use it under the Automatic Setting I don't get as Sharp Focus as I want. So I struggle with Manual. I am determined to get very proficient at it, no matter how long it takes me!!!! (hope I can till hold it when I am in my 80's :-) if I last that long!!!) Cheers for now, Gail

Gail, this would be wonderful even without the bee. Really wonderful detail and DOF. I particularly like the delicate veining in the petals. I've never had much luck with bee shots as they always tend to lack the sharpness needed.

Hi Gail, beautiful work, love the the colors of orange / orange reds.  This shot has great detail in both the flower and the bee.  Best Regards,  Sherry
