Pierre Dumas 229 Posted June 11, 2012 I don't accept the flat background although it was kinda made in combination with the main picture to make an illusion of depth and three dimensional stuff! Like the colors except the blue on the top of the creature! You say you are dreaming of Mars, is it a homesick dream maybe!? You must have heard of David Icke and his theories! Best regards my best friend! PDE Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 12, 2012 Quite honestly, I've refrained from critiquing or rating your images, because it would be a full-time job. You are extraordinarily prolific, and yet the volume of images you produce does not affect their quality. In any case, this one really grabbed my attention. In my opinion, there is a 3-D effect provided by the drop-shadow, and the textured background. I find the orange tones with the comparatively smaller blue area quite compelling. Finally, I think that your creation of the extraordinary creature portrayed here entitles you to join Stan Winston's staff. My best, michael Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted June 12, 2012 Pierre: I know you don't care for blue, or purple, in an image... but it does add contrast and direction to this composition. And... you may be right about my being homesick. Michael: I am delighted to learn that you have been following, and enjoying, my work.No need to apologize about not commenting in the past. I am often remiss in commenting and/or rating due to time constraints or simply because I'm not sure what to say, in which case I keep my fingers off the keyboard. Creating these abstract images helps to maintain my sanity, at least that's my story, during stressful times. Thanks again for your interest, and thoughtful critique/comment. Link to comment
