I took this photo at Fort Point, San Francisco last week. The shot is

taken in the gallery where canons are positioned to shoot at incoming

enemy boats coming into the Bay. The canon in the center of the image

is mounted on a carriage with a spare wheel mounted on the back.

Photo taken with my Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 24-70mm f2.8 lens, shot

at 28mm, wide open at 2.8, ISO1000. The lighting is all natural mid-day

afternoon sunlight and I shot this handheld.

I particularly like all the different color shades and directional sweep of

the light. Any critiques are welcome and encouraged - let me know how

this shot can be improved so we all an learn! Thanks.

The colors are lovely and I like the repeating lines of the arches. That said, if this were my picture I would trim the right margin so that the main subject is not dead center in the image.

Wonderful use of existing light. Don't even mind the canon being in the middle...sometimes it happens that way.
