Whenever I see a scene like this, I always think of the old Westerns

and their campsites. I could see a cowboy with his tin cup of coffee,

leaning against the tree, covered from head to toe with the dust and

dirt from his wrangling, smoking his hand rolled, a fire with a an

iron grate topped with the coffee pot and a large pot of steaming

stew, and him telling the others of the rattle snake that spooked his

horse that morning and the heifers that broke away and how he rounded

them up.

The B&W is definitely better looking! Such a richness of tones besides the beautiful shapes!

Best regards Leo!

Leo, you've created a fascinating image. I don't know how you created the textures but they give the photo a unique look that I really like. I'm assuming this is Joshua Tree National Park - a place I love dearly and it's a place I spend a lot of time during the cooler months backpacking.

Thanks Mark, it is a unique place with lots of great hiking and photo opportunities. The slight texturing you see is from the Pixel Bender filter/Oilpaint.
