eirik_holm_yvik 0 Posted July 1, 2003 Graveyards are excellent places to do infrared shots. The composition isn't quite strong enough for me here though. Link to comment
stefan1 0 Posted July 2, 2003 I like the composition very much. The branch that looks like it is reaching out to grab something. That the celtic cross in the foreground is isolated. That we see the edge of the graveyard. The only thing breaking the spell is the streetlight in the background. Link to comment
a_mccall 0 Posted July 2, 2003 Illona Wellman has done this before. Her images are stronger, perhaps because they are simpler. Take a look at hers. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 2, 2003 Thanks for all of the comments--they're appreciated. Eirik, I agree with you about the composition here. It's not perfect. I was trying not to include signs and some other garbage. I ended up with a composition that wasn't perfect, though I liked the Celtic crosses and the "reaching" tree. A. McCall--I've been shooting digital infrared for nearly five years. If I wanted to shoot them like her, I would. I seek my own pecular ends with my photography. I don't think she and I share the same aesthetic. Link to comment
Doug Keller 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Very good creepy vibe. The composition did seem kind of right-heavy to me... so I baked a cake (see attached... hope you don't mind my meddling). Thank you very much for sharing. I see tons of nice images in your gallery. Link to comment
